Welcome!

Cub Scout Pack 206 provides fun activities that build character, citizenship, and fitness for boys and girls in grades K-5. Founded in 1949, we are the oldest continually active pack in Lawrence Township, NJ, and we currently have about 50 scouts and many active parent leaders.

Joining The Pack: All boys and girls in grades K-5 are welcome to join Pack 206 at any time during the year by contacting the Membership Chair using the 'Contact Us' page.

Scouts do not need to reside in Lawrence Township to join the Pack. For detailed information see attachment below.

Pack Events: Annual events include the Pinewood Derby, Great Pumpkin Hunt, overnight outdoor and indoor camping events, Blue and Gold Banquet, Raingutter Regatta, Fishing Derby and more! Pack events are usually held once a month, typically on a weekend. Pack events are family-friendly.

Den Meetings: The Cubs in a pack are divided into small groups called dens by grade level. Den meetings are usually twice per month, on a weeknight, as scheduled by the den leader, and include fun and educational activities that help the scouts advance in rank.

Scouts, family, and friends! Cub Scout Pack 206 has a team page for the Lawrence Hopewell Trail Fun Run & 5K on May 2 at Rosedale Park!

The 5k is $40 and Fun Run (1 mile) is $25. It's a fundraiser for the Lawrence Hopewell Trail and Cub Scout Pack 206 will have a table there for information to tell families about scouting! You can join Brielle and Fabienne at the recruiting table or if you want to register for the run you can join the team. If you already signed up and want to be added to the pack team, email Claire from LHT at claire@lhtrail.org to get switched over. This event is optional but we thought you'd like to know about it!

Fish Camp May 8-10 at Ockanickon

Posted on Apr 11 2026 - 10:36pm

Parents, are you wishing you could take your child fishing and camping but don't know where to start?

Don't have any gear? Never camped before? All of the above? This event is for you!

Council has put together an awesome family weekend of Fishing, at Ockanickon Scout Reservation, set on the shores of beautiful Great Buck Lake. Cubs and their parents will learn the basics of fishing, including essential knots, safe casting, and identifying local fish species. Participants will even get the chance to make their own fishing rods as part of the hands-on adventure, and all meals are included throughout the weekend. Join us May 8–10, 2026, for an unforgettable weekend of outdoor skills, bonding, and discovery.

Siblings welcome!

Full details here: https://www.wccscouting.org/FishCamp

The leader guide on the page above answers a lot of questions including what type of accommodations there are if you would like to make a request: Adirondacks (built shelter), Greenies (standard scouting tents set up by council), or Pitch your own tent. Again, this is a family-friendly event directed at families with no camping experience. Email questions to Jessica Starbuck at jessstarbuck@gmail.com. Dietary needs should be communicated to Jessica no later than May 1.

If you decide to sign up, please email fabiennecalkins@gmail.com so she can help coordinate with council to ensure we are camping near each other.

We Need You!

Posted on Apr 11 2026 - 10:35pm

Pack 206 is entirely volunteer lead by parents just like you who love the program, love the pack, and most of all, love their scout. We all have unique strengths we bring to the mix but the most important thing is that we just "Do Your Best" to make the pack a little better in small ways or in big roles. We have many exciting opportunities to help shape the future of our pack and the memories your kids will make!
